LITTLE ROCK, AR - The state of Arkansas has started reviewing the status of any hurricane refugees who sought shelter in the state and also may be sex offenders.

A letter from the federal Department of Health and Human Services in November has prompted the consideration.

Huckabee spokeswoman Alice Stewart says the governor's office has handed the matter to the Arkansas Crime Information Center and the Arkansas State Police.
