JANUARY 11, 2006 - Posted at 11:29 a.m. CST

PARAGOULD, AR - State Representative Dustin McDaniel of Jonesboro announced this morning in Paragould that former State Treasurer Jimmie Lou Fisher has joined his campaign to serve in the capacity of campaign chair.  McDaniel, a Democrat, is a candidate for Arkansas Attorney General in the May 23 primary.

The announcement was made this morning on the steps of the historic Old Greene County Courthouse in Paragould, which is Fisher's hometown.

"Jimmie Lou Fisher embodies all that is right with public service.  She has built a legacy through selfless sacrifice, an unparalleled work ethic, and unquestionable integrity," said McDaniel.  "Her insight and counsel are eagerly anticipated."

Fisher said "I immediately knew that this was a young man I could get behind and use whatever influence and energy I had left to help him."
