'Person of Interest' in Joint Sharp/Izard County Murder Investigation Dies

ASH FLAT, AR - A 'person of interest' in a joint murder investigation in by the sheriff's departments in Sharp and Izard counties is dead.

Jerry Stevens, 47, apparently died early Tuesday at his sister's home in Jonesboro, where he had reportedly been undergoing hospice care.  He was considered a person of interest in the 2003 disappearance of 21-year-old Bridget Sellars of Marmaduke. 

In November, skeletal remains beleived to be those of Sellars were found in a septic tank on Stevens' property along the Sharp and Izard County lines.
