Dr. Les Wyatt, president of ASU, said "All of us at Arkansas State University are pleased that Mrs. Milligan has accepted this continuing role of service to the University and higher education.  We are grateful for her counsel and advice, her leadership skills, and her loyalty to her alma mater."  Wyatt added, "We look forward to our continuing association with Mrs. Milligan."

The trustees serve staggered five-year terms.  First appointed in 2001, Milligan will now serve until January of 2011.
