LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Huckabee has gone to Iraq to visit Arkansas troops.

Huckabee was invited by Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.  Huckabee spokeswoman Alice Stewart says the governor left for Iraq on Sunday after receiving classified briefings at the Pentagon.

Word of the trip was not released earlier because of security concerns.  Stewart would not say when Huckabee is to be back in Arkansas.

Huckabee made the trip with three other governors...Jim Doyle of Wisconsin, Rick Perry of Texas and Dave Freudentahal of Wyoming.

Huckabee's first visit was at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, where he had dinner with soldiers from Arkansas.  He went on to several stops in Iraq.
