WYNNE, AR - Plans for a new first-class golf resort to be developed within the property of Village Creek State Park near Wynne are expected to be revealed tonight at an annual banquet of the Cross County Chamber of Commerce.

Richard Davies, executive director of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, will be on hand to give details about Village Creek Resort, the largest public/private partnership in the history of Arkansas' state parks system.  The resort, to feature a 27-hole Andy Dye signature golf course, clubhouse, lodge, restaurant, meeting facility, and villas, is slated to open within the environs of the 6,909-acre Village Creek State Park near Wynne in the summer of 2007.

Davies and others are expected to share information about the architectural design, funding sources, and management of the development.
