LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Mississippi Delta Grassroots Caucus meeting in Little Rock is hearing some optimistic predictions from Arkansas leaders.
Retired General Wesley Clark and Congressman Marion Berry and Mike Ross addressed the group at the Clinton Library this afternoon. All three said they believe economic conditions will improve in the Arkansas Delta. But they said much work needs to be done to raise living standards significantly.
Clark says its important for local leaders to receive support they need. Berry says improved healthcare and education are the keys and Ross said roadblocks to finishing Interstate 69 must be overcome.
