NEW YORK (AP) _ ABC News co-anchor Bob Woodruff and a
cameraman are reported in stable condition after surgery following
a roadside bombing in Iraq.
Woodruff and Doug Vogt were riding in an Iraqi Army
vehicle when it was attacked 12 miles north of Baghdad.
They underwent surgery for head injuries at a U-S military
hospital nearby. They are expected to be transferred to medical
facilities in Landstuhl, Germany, possibly overnight.
ABC News President David Westin said the developments are seen
as ``good news.'' But he says the next few days ``will be
