TRUMANN, AR - A Trumann man is dead today following a weekend stabbing incident, while another remains hospitalized.

Trumann Police Chief Larry Blagg says 33-year-old Arlen Campbell, Jr. of Trumann died shortly before noon Sunday at the NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro following two emergency surgeries.  Campbell was apparently involved in an altercation involving three men in the early hours of Saturday morning in the parking lot of a vacant commercial building on Highway 463-South in Trumann.

Steven McCrary, 48, of Denver, Colorado, was also injured with a severe stab wound to the lower abdomen, and remains hospitalized at the NEA Medical Center.

The incident occured at approximately 12:07 a.m. Saturday.  Chief Blagg says his department has a suspect in custody, however, the man's name is not being released until formal charges are filed this afternoon.
