KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ The director of the commission that
administers Jackson County's anti-drug tax has been arrested on a
charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Authorities allege that COMBAT Commission director Vicki Boyd
was stopped yesterday after an officer noticed her driving
erratically. Police say a breath test showed her blood-alcohol
content was more than twice the legal limit.
The COMBAT Commission administers the county's anti-drug tax.
Boyd had served as interim director since April 2003 until she was
hired as permanent director last June.
