Man Wanted in Massachusetts Violence Dies in Missouri Hospital

GASSVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Authorities say a teenager wanted in a

hatchet-and-gun attack on patrons of a Massachusetts gay bar has

died in a Missouri Hospital.

Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says Jacob D- Robida

died at 3:38 a-m this morning at Cox-South Hospital in Springfield.

Robida was critically wounded in a gun battle with Arkansas police

yesterday after he shot and killed a West Virginia woman and a

small-town police officer in Gassville, Arkansas.

Authorities shot Robida twice in the head and then arrested him.

Police in New Bedford, Massachusetts, say Robida injured three

people at a gay bar early Thursday morning. They say Robida swung a

hatchet and fired a gun in the attack, which sent three people to

the hospital.
