West Memphis College Gets Federal Grant to Meet Training Demands for Automotive Industry

WEST MEMPHIS, AR - Mid-South Community College in West Memphis will receive $250,000 from the Delta Regional Authority to purchase equipment designed to meet the training and education demands related to automotive industry growth in eastern Arkansas.

Japan-based Hino Motors is building a large truck parts plant in Crittenden County, while several other Asian-based companies are building or have opened similar operations in nearby Osceola and Wynne.

A check presentation ceremony will be conducted Thursday afternoon in the Donald W. Reynolds Center Rotunda on the college's campus.
