TEXARKANA, AR - A satellite is tracking a duck named for Governor Huckabee as it flies over southwest Arkansas. Huck the Duck is one of 24 ducks the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission is tracking in the name of science. The mallard was released yesterday by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission at the Bois D'Arc Lake near Hope. The release was part of the commission's satellite mallard-tracking program that collects data on migrating ducks.
The commission named the duck in honor of the governor because Huckabee is an avid bird hunter. Huckabee said this was the first time he has wanted a duck to win a showdown with a gun.
