LEWISVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ A Lafayette County sheriff's deputy died

in a traffic accident while on his way to help another deputy who

was answering a domestic disturbance call. Thirty-two-year-old

Stacy McMurrough of Stamps died when the patrol car he was driving

went off Highway 29 in Lewisville, went into a ditch, overturned,

and he was thrown from the vehicle. Arkansas State Police say the

accident happened at 8:21 last night, and the highway was wet at

the time.

The sheriff's office says McMurrough was found by a Lewisville

police officer and was taken by ambulance to Medical Park Hospital

in Hope, where he was pronounced dead.

McMurrough also was a firefighter with Stamps Fire and Rescue

and was water superintendent for the city of Stamps.

Sheriff Danny Ormand says McMurrough was a ``true servant'' to

his community and will be missed by everyone.
