With Clinton at His Side, Woods Opens His Learning Center

February 11, 2006 - Posted at 1:30 p.m. CST

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ Tiger Woods has opened his 25

million-dollar learning center for children in California.

Woods says this is by far the ``greatest thing'' that has ever

happened to him.

The 35-thousand-square-foot facility is located next to the H-G

``Dad'' Miller Golf Course in Anaheim where Woods played when he

was in high school. The afterschool programs include: math, science

and technology.

Woods was joined at the opening by former President Clinton and

California first lady Maria Shriver and about five-thousand

children who hope to benefit from the center.

Woods says, ``This is bigger than golf. This is bigger than

anything I've done on the golf course. Because we will be able to

shape lives.''
