Snyder Resignation From Missouri Made Official

February 12, 2006 - Posted at 12:23 p.m. CST

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Quin Snyder's resignation as Missouri

basketball coach is official.

Two days after he stunned players, fans and school officials by

stepping down, university lawyers and the Board of Curators say

they've reached a financial settlement with Snyder.

Athletics Director Mike Alden says terms of the deal will be

announced later this week. In a written statement, he says the move

is ``in the best interests of all parties.''

The deal was reached only hours before today's home game against

Kansas State that will include a halftime celebration honoring 100

years of Missouri basketball and the program's all-time greatest

players.

Alden also denies reports that on Thursday he sent broadcaster

Gary Link to tell Snyder he would be fired at season's end.
