BRINKLEY, AR - East Arkansas farmers eyeing an uncertain future might want to be in Brinkley today. That's where the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service is holding a meeting where experts will talk about ways for row-crop farms to survive the financial crunch in agriculture.
The meeting is a cooperative effort among the Extension Service offices and four counties...Monroe, Prarie, Woodruff and Saint Francis.
Topics for the meeting include projected crop expenses and budgets, cheap approaches to weed control, market situation and outlook, fertilizer update, ways to reduce fuel costs, and cutting costs without jeapordizing yields.
