JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The state Senate advances a bill cracking down on school bus drivers convicted of drunken driving.

The legislation received first-round approval yesterday.  Final passage would send it to the House.

The measure would revoke the school bus driving certificatation of anyone convicted of an intoxication-related traffic offense.

Bus drivers would have to tell their superiors of a DWI citation.

And any school bus driver convicted of driving with a revoked license could be fined up to $1,000.
