JONESBORO, AR - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals plans to send more scantily-clad women to Jonesboro as part of another protest.

In August 2004, PETA came to Jonesboro to demonstrate the Barnum & Bailey Circus's treatment of its animals on the eve of the company's performance at the ASU Convocation Center.  This time, PETA's target is KFC.

A PETA news release states, "Wearing nothing but yellow bikinis, white fluffy boots, and earmuffs and holding signs that read, 'KFC Tortures Chicks,' sultry PETA members Lindsay Rajt and Nicole Matthews will lead a protest outside" KFC's Parker Road restaurant over the company's "abusive treatment of chickens in factory farms and slaughterhouses while other PETA members hand out leaflets."  The demonstration is planned for 3:30 Monday afternoon at 2003 West Parker Road.
