Two Killed on Icy Arkansas Roads

UNDATED (AP) _ Two people were killed on icy Arkansas roads

yesterday. The Arkansas State Police reports that a Texas man died

and two people were injured in an accident on Interstate 30 near

Butterfield in central Arkansas. 22-year-old Johnny A. Martinez of

Dallas, Texas, was killed. His car was hit by another car that was

traveling over a bridge, slid sideways and crashed through a

guardrail in the median. The accident happened about 12:30

yesterday.

In a second accident hours earlier, a Mississippi man died when

his vehicle hit a highway department sand truck on Interstate 55 in

Crittenden County, and his car was struck from behind by another

vehicle. The eastern Arkansas accident involving the highway truck

took the life of 43-year-old David Jusko of Horn Lake, Mississippi.
