Report to Examine Progress in Arkansas High Schools

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas will get an idea of how its efforts to improve schools stack up against similar efforts in other states when a national report is released today.  The report is called "Closing the Expectations Gap 2006."  It was compiled by a nationwide group called the American Diploma Project Network.

An early look at the report shows that Arkansas doesn't score well against other states by using existing high-school assessments for college admissions and placement.  But the state excels at aligning high school graduation requirements with college and workplace expectations.
