_ A boy has been hospitalized in Florida

after he fell off a wooden roller coaster at a theme park.

A spokeswoman for Cypress Gardens theme park says the boy fell

from about 15 feet from the Triple Hurricane roller coaster

A statement from the park says that there were no indications of

a malfunction with the ride and that the restraint in the boy's

seat was still in a locked position.

Hospital officials in Tampa say the boy, who is between 12 and

15 years old, is in serious condition with multiple injuries.

Officials say the ride is closed pending an investigation.
