When should I prune my roses?

Major pruning should be done in March. Cut the roses back to about 8-10” on most hybrid tea and floribunda varieties. Other light pruning can be done throughout the year as needed to encourage new growth and to enhance the overall shape and health of the plant. (Now is also a good time to purchase your fungicides and insecticides at Southlawn Nursery so you can be prepared to start your routine spraying program.)
