JONESBORO, AR - Police at Arkansas State University have made an arrest in connection with the February 18 shooting of a student at an on-campus fraternity party.

Dennis Solee, 22, of Lonoke, was arrested in connection with another investigation that was indirectly related to the shooting incident at a Phi Beta Sigma party in which 21-year-old Kimberly McRay, an ASU student, was wounded.

Solee is a former ASU student who had been banned from the campus since September, according to University Police.  He is to appear in Craighead County District Court on March 27.

Following the incident, ASU officials temporarily suspended all on-campus social functions by fraternities and sororities.

Meanwhile, the ASU police continue to investigate the case and anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the UPD at 972-2093.
