ST. LOUIS, MO - Two Missouri lawmakers will be in O'Fallon today to discuss a bill aimed at cracking down on illegal aliens in the state.

State Senator Bill Alter of High Ridge and Representative Scott Rupp of Wentzville plan a morning news conference at a site overlooking a work area where illegal aliens have been arrested in the past month.

The Republican lawmakers are pushing a bill to strengthen the role of local law enforcement in identifying, detaining and deporting illegal aliens who are working or living in Missouri.

The bill would also restrict education and public assistance for illegal aliens.
