Suspect Held in Las Vegas Killing of Kansas City Rapper

March 4, 2006 - Posted at 12:53 p.m. CST

LAS VEGAS (AP) _ Police have arrested a rap figure in San

Francisco in a double slaying in Las Vegas last May. One of the

victims was Kansas City-based rapper Anthony ``Fat Tone'' Watkins.

A police affidavit calls the Las Vegas killings revenge for the

November 2004 drive-by slaying in Kansas City of California rapper

Andre ``Mac Dre'' Hicks.

Las Vegas police hoped the arrest of 35-year-old Andre Dow will

reveal links to other cases in their city. Dow is also a suspect in

a California killing that might be related to the Las Vegas case.

Nevada prosecutors will seek Dow's extradition for trial in Las

Vegas on murder and conspiracy charges in the May 23rd killings of

Watkins and another man, Jermaine ``Cowboy'' Akins.
