BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) _ As attacks resume after relative calm
around Baghdad, President Jalal Talabani says U-S military forces
will be staying on hand as long as Iraq needs them.
His comments followed a bombing that targeted a minibus terminal
in a Baghdad suburb, which killed seven people and wounded dozens.
Talabani says Iraq needs a unity government after the recent
surge in sectarian violence. Talabani says U-S Central Command
chief General John Abizaid believes a unified government will
stabilize Iraq and bring about peace.
