LONDON (AP) _ British Prime Minister Tony Blair says God will be

the ultimate judge of Blair's decision to go to war with Iraq.

His comment came in the transcript of a chat show to be

broadcast Saturday.

Blair told veteran interviewer Michael Parkinson on his prime

time show that he makes policy decisions based on his conscience,

which he said is guided by his Christian faith.

Blair was also asked to address the question of when he might

leave government. He repeatedly has said he would leave before the

next general election, to take place in either 2009 or 2010. But

he's also said he would complete his full term.

The prime minister told the studio audience that the results of

his current policy initiatives would determine his departure date.
