March 5, 2006 - Posted at 12:46 p.m. CST

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ In Russellville, a man facing drug and

weapons charges now faces a charge of intimidating a witness for

allegedly holding a gun to the man's mouth.

District Judge Don Bourne found probable cause to charge

25-year-old Michael Joe Cossey of Russellville with two counts of

intimidating a witness, aggravated assault, felony terroristic

threatening and felon in possession of a firearm.

The judge also set bond at 500-thousand dollars and told Cossey

to stay away from the witness and his family. Cossey is to appear

in court March 20th.

Cossey told the judge he had not threatened anyone and had not

seen the witness lately.

Chris Ridenour of the Pope County Drug Task Force said the

witness called him recently and said he was afraid to testify

against Cossey.

Police are looking for the witness.
