JONESBORO, AR - The annual Arkansas Governor's Conference on Tourism wraps up this evening in Jonesboro, bringing to a conclusion the three-day event which began Sunday night.

State and local tourism officials use the gathering to share information and help develop ways to generate more tourism in Arkansas.  This year, local organizers hope to use the conference to increase visits to northeast Arkansas.  Attendees got a tour of the Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center.  Officials say outdoors-related tourism is a key aspect to bringing visitors to the region.

Governor Huckabee will join the event late this afternoon before hosting a reception this evening at the Holiday Inn Holidome.
