LITTLE ROCK, AR - A firm has been picked to design three new welcome centers the state is planning at Blytheville, West Memphis and Lake Village.
The agency says The Benham Companies will perform design and engineering for the centers. The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and the state Parks and Tourism Department are combining efforts to upgrade the points where visitors enter Arkansas.
The centers at Blythevile and West Memphis will be 6,000 square feet and the centers will be designed to accomodate all interstate vehicular traffic. The center at Lake Village will be 3,000-square feet and will be designed to handle passenger and recreational vehicles and tour buses.
