CHICAGO (AP) _ A judge in Chicago has ordered a nearly five-year
prison term for William Ligue Junior, a Chicago-area man who
ran onto the field at White Sox Park in 2002 and socked kansas City
Royals first-base coach Tom Gamboa.
Ligue had been sentenced to probation for the attack, but
Circuit Court Judge Joseph Claps ruled yesterday that Ligue had
violated his probation terms when he was arrested in 2004 for
reportedly breaking into a car and stealing its radio.
