FORREST CITY, AR - A Forrest City man received 26 staples in his head after he was attacked with a machete during an altercation.

Solomon Taylor, 47, walked into the Forrest City Police Department early Wednesday morning, bleeding from the back of his head.  He was treated at a local hospital and released.

Taylor told police he was drinking beer and talking with a group of people when he and a suspect, a 51-year-old man, got into an altercation.  The suspect allegedly picked up a machete and struck Taylor in the back of the head.

Investigators asked a judge to approve a warrant for the suspect's arrest.
