Blytheville Murder Suspect Turns Himself in This Morning

BLYTHEVILLE, AR - A Blytheville man wanted by local police as a possible suspect in the weekend murder of a woman turned himself into authorities at approximately 10 a.m. today, according to Detective Dave Flora of the Blytheville Police Department, identifying the suspect as 40-year-old Leon Jackson.

Police say Kenya Thigpen identified Jackson as her assailant before she died of gunshot wounds to the chest and arms at Blytheville's Great River Medical Center late Saturday night.  Flora says Thigpen also said Jackson was her boyfriend.
