Hino Chairman Says Truck Plant Possible When Sales Grow

MARION, Ark. (AP) _ The chairman of Hino Motors says a truck

assembly plant could join a company parts plant if its U.S. sales of

its trucks grow.

Hino chairman Tadaaki Jagawa attended the dedication in Marion

yesterday of Mid-South Community College's seven million-dollar

Workforce Technology Center. The school will help train workers for

Hino's parts plant and other automotive-related jobs in east


Jagawa says the subsidiary of Toyota may add an assembly plant

at Marion if its truck sales can rise to ten-thousand per year in

the U.S. The company expects to sell 4,700 units this year.
