ROLLA, Mo. (AP) _ Students will pay more to attend the

University of Missouri next year.

A five-percent rise in tuition approved by the Board of Curators

will add 324 dollars to yearly base tuition for in-state

undergraduates. Graduate students will also see a five-percent

tuition increase.

But that's not all the Board of Curators did yesterday.

Increases in student fees and campus housing charges also won

The increases vary among the system's four campuses. Student

fees will rise two percent at the Kansas City campus. In St. Louis,

the room and board plan is going up nearly 12 percent.

Since 1993 tuition for in-state students throughout the system

has risen an average of eight-point-three percent a year. Students

absorbed increases is nearly 15 percent in 2002, and almost 20

percent the following year.
