CONWAY, Ark. (AP) _ With the long-running drought, Conway

residents will have to cut back on their water usage.

Beginning Monday, a mandatory water-curtailment policy of the

Conway Corporation goes into effect.

Residents with even-numbered addresses will be allowed to water

their lawns, gardens and shrubs on Mondays, Thursdays and

Saturdays. Residents with odd-numbered addresses may water only on

Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The company, which operates the

city-owned utilities, says no one can water on Wednesdays.

Residents could be fined for violations.

The city water source of Brewer Lake is eight feet below its

normal level.
