RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (AP) _ Freed hostage Jill Carroll is
due to return to the United States tomorrow.
A spokesman for the Massachusetts Port Authority says Carroll
will be on a flight that's expected to land at Logan International
Airport in Boston late tomorrow morning.
The freelance journalist was kidnapped in Baghdad on January
seventh and released on Thursday. She was flown to Ramstein Air
Base in Germany today aboard a military transport plane.
In a video posted on an Islamist Web site yesterday, her
abductors said they released her because the United States had met
some of its demands in freeing Iraqi women from prison.
The kidnappers had demanded the release of all female detainees.
Some were released but U-S officials said it had nothing to do with
the kidnappers' demands, and some are still being held.
