HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) _ Only two candidates are still in the

running to become the new director for the Arkansas School for

Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts at Hot Springs.

The high school for gifted Arkansas students is using a search

committee to choose a replacement for John Measel, who announced

his retirement earlier in the school year.

The top two candidates are Charles Beady, Alcorn State

University's director of diversity marketing, and Janet Hugo, the

dean of academics at the Hot Springs campus.

No deadline has been set for making a choice. Both candidates

have more on-campus interviews.
