Carroll Wants Quiet Homecoming

April 2, 2006 - Posted at 12:59 p.m. CST

BOSTON (AP) _ Jill Carroll is asking for some ''quiet time''

with her family, now that she's arriving home from Iraq.

Carroll was seized January seventh in western Baghdad by gunmen

who killed her Iraqi translator. She was released last Thursday.

This morning, she boarded a plane in Germany for the flight home

to Boston.

While in Germany, Carroll strongly disavowed statements she had

made during captivity in Iraq and shortly after her release, saying

she had been repeatedly threatened.
