Proposal Revived For Hotel at University of Central Arkansas

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) _ A proposal to build a hotel at the

University of Central Arkansas campus is getting another look.

A plan in 2004 for a 13 million-dollar hotel and conference

center fell through after the developer concluded the project would

not be able to turn a profit.

A new developer has expressed interest in the project.

University officials say the next step is to conduct a study to

determine whether the project can be successful.

Officials say Flik Management, which specializes in developing

hotels on college campuses, is looking at building at the Conway


Officials say the plan could hinge on whether the university can

acquire more land.
