Three Charged With Slaying of Man in Pope County

MORRILTON, Ark. (AP) _ Three people charged with the

execution-style slaying of a Morrilton man in Pope County are being

held without bond.

Thirty-two-year-old Kevin Erdely, allegedly fired the fatal shot

at 46-year-old Jack Christen. Also charged are 30-year-old David

Woody of Atkins and 46-year-old Floyd ``Turbo'' Briggs of Lamar.

All three are charged with capital murder, though prosecutors

allege Woody and Briggs served as accomplices.

The men are being held in the Pope County Jail for the March

24th slaying.

Two other men are charged with hindering apprehension.

Investigators have not revealed a motive for the killing.
