CARUTHERSVILLE, MO - On Monday, U.S. Senator Kit Bond of Missouri will join local, state and federal officials in southeast Missouri to survey the damage caused by severe storms and tornadoes that swept through the Bootheel earlier this month.  Bond will also receive breifings on on-going recovery efforts in the region.

The Republican will start his tour at the Braggadocio Baptist Church in Pemiscot County at 4:30 p.m, before departing for Caruthersville at approximately 4:45 p.m.  In Caruthersville, he will tour badly damaged residential area before then viewing damage at the city's public schools.

More than 60 percent of the buildings in Caruthersville were damaged or destroyed in the April 2 storms.
