Entergy to Return to New Orleans; Some Functions to be Elsewhere

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Power provider Entergy Corporation says it will create an information technology center in Little Rock as part of a plan to relocate some functions housed in its New Orleans headquarters until Hurricane Katrina.

The utility plans to reopen a smaller head office in New Orleans.

Entergy has been operating from Mississippi since Katrina.

A company spokesman says he couldn't say when the company will the Little Rock information center or how many jobs it will create.  Another primary office is expected to be established in Hammond, Louisiana.
