LITTLE ROCK (AP) _ The Arkansas House and Senate have voted to

override a veto by Governor Huckabee on a bill to train science

The House voted 71-to-13 to override. That followed a 24-to-3

vote in the Senate. Both chambers reconvened yesterday to override

the veto.

Huckabee vetoed the bill because he felt it would endanger

college scholarships by pulling a half million dollars from the

state higher education budget.
