CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) _ A Cape Girardeau man recently

arrested on a traffic warrant could be facing additional charges

after failing to tell police that his 2-year-old daughter was in

the house.

The girl sat alone in her crib for almost 24 hours before

relatives came by and found her. She was O-K.

The Missouri Department of Family Services learned of the

neglect this week and informed the Cape Girardeau Police

Department. The girl is now living with an uncle.

Police have not released the father's name until charges are

filed. He was originally arrested for an out-of-state warrant for a

driving violation.
