Governor Visiting Tornado-Ravaged Caruthersville Today

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO - Governor Blunt will be in the Missouri Bootheel town of Caruthersville this afternoon for an update of rebuilding and repair efforts in the community that was devastated by an early-April tornado.

Blunt plans to tour Caruthersville at 3:45 p.m., starting at the Disaster Relief Center at the American Legion hall.

An F-3 tornado ripped through Caruthersville on April 2.  No one was killed but about half of the town's buildings were damaged or destroyed.
