CARUTHERSVILLE, MO - Less than 4 weeks after the region was rocked by an F3 tornado, residents in Pemiscot County yesterday once again found themselves under the gun from Mother Nature.  Severe storms struck the region late Tuesday afternoon, causing more property damage.

According to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, "At least three confirmed tornadoes passed through Pemiscot County on Tuesday afternoon.  Area law enforcement and trained emergency storm spotters verified these tornadoes."  Greenwell also said quarter to golf ball-sized hail was reported in many areas.

Greenwell says several metal farm shops were damaged or destroyed and at least one mobile home was completely destroyed.  At least one vehicle was also reported blown off of Interstate-55.

Two persons were treated for minor injuries.

K8 News also received reports of minor storm damage in the Bootheel in Dunklin County, as well as Tuckerman and Supply in northeast Arkansas.
