Beebe Police Looking for Two in Child's Shooting

MAY 1, 2006 - Posted at 7:52 a.m. CST

BEEBE, AR - Beebe police say a four-year-old girl who suffered wounds from shotgun pellets when shots were fired inside her home has been released from a hospital.

Autumn Chumley had superficial wounds from the shooting Saturday afternoon.  Lieutenant Don Inns says the child was not the target of the shooting, although police aren't sure yet what the motive was for it.  He says no shots were fired from inside the duplex.

Police are looking for two people for questioning, 20-year-olds Brittany Young, formerly of Beebe, and Elias Estrada of the North Little Rock area.

Inns says the girl's parents, Raymond and Ashley Chumley, were in the home with her and two adult male friends when the shooting occured.  He says Young is an acquaintance of the Chumleys.
