LITTLE ROCK, AR - Some Marmaduke residents are becoming impatient with seeing debris still littering the northeast Arkansas town a month after a tornado blew through. But Greene County Judge Jesse Dollars says the pace of the pickups is about to pick up.
Dollars said the recovery from the April 2 storms began quickly, but that pace has slowed significantly. He said debris removal is moving at a slow pace right now.
Dollars said the city is carefully working its way through the bureaucratic steps involved in hauling the debris away. He said that's causing some frustration with people wanting to get some things done, and he said that he feels the same way. But he said that, once the process is begun, it will get done real fast.
